How long has this been used overseas?

This injectable skin treatment was approved for use in Italy in February 2015 and since approved in Europe and UK and available in Australia since September 2022.

What is the active ingredient?

The main ingredient is very similar to the temporary water binding gel products currently used to treat wrinkles and folds. 

The  difference is the concentration and size of molecules. 

What is the difference between traditional gel products and this Bio-Remodelling Skin Treatment?

This is not a traditional gel.  This product does not provide contour or “lift” results.  Instead the result is short term subtle improvement in hydration and skin quality with some evidence suggesting improved short term remodelling of subcutaneous tissues. 

How many treatments are required?

This depends on the condition of skin, and the age of the patient.  In general, the recommendation is 2-3 treatments, 1 month apart for someone who has never been treated and afterwards, maintain with 1 treatment every 6-12 months.  Older skin may need more treatments.
